This Week in Scrapbooking Club
This week in Scrapbooking club we are making layouts about our families. Next week we will be making layouts about our homes. It would be wonderful if your child could bring in 2 or 3 pictures of their home.
Here are a few ideas
* A Picture of their front door
* A picture of their favorite place in their home
* A picture of their bedroom
*A picture of their backyard.
For now I am holding onto the layouts that the children are creating. The layouts will be put into page protectors. Later on during the year we will be making covers to create our own scrapbooks. In late May your child will be able to take home their completed scrapbook! What a great keepsake of their childhood!
Here is a list of projects we will be working on!
* My Home Layout
* Faux Stained Glass Leaf Project
*CD Picture Frames
*Thanksgiving Place Cards and Napkin Wraps
*A Thanksgiving Layout
*Holiday Cards
*Holiday Photo Bulb Ornaments
In addition to the projects listed above we will also be creating a monthly layout to document a recent picture of your child, as well as their hand writing and personal preferences.
Supplies Needed
* CDs or DVDs (Ones that are scratched or ones planning to be thrown out such as AOL CDs)
* Glue Sticks

Last Week in Scrapbooking Club
Last week during Scrapbooking Club we decorated wooden picture frames. The students had great time using ribbon, patterned paper, buttons, and punches.
This week we will make our 1st scrapbook page layout. We will talk about the concept of having words, pictures, and embellishments on a scrapbooking page.
